Meet Dr. Guo
In 2013, a former colleague contacted me for recommendations on effective natural herbal products for treating sports injuries. Disappointed in what the market had to offer and unable to find the ideal product, I promised my friend that I would develop a product to meet his needs.
Dr. Jim Guo, D.C., Lic. Ac., MAOM, CSCS
Dr. Jim Guo is a licensed acupuncturist and a licensed chiropractic physician in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He graduated from the National College of Chiropractic in 1997 with a degree of Doctor of Chiropractic, and graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in 2004 with Master degree of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. A second generation TCM practitioner in practice since 1998, he is the proud owner of Acupuncture & Chiropractic Clinic, LLC, in Attleboro, MA.
Today, my brand, Dr. Guo's™, offers 4 salves and a roll on, each designed to assist with the healing process for specific ailments I commonly see in my own patients. Even though the original 37 Healing Salve was created for one friend, all five products are now being used by many health care and athletic professionals throughout the country and carried by Lhasa OMS, the leading medical supply company for the acupuncture profession.
I didn't know it then, but that simple promise would turn into 18 months of research and development.
All the hard work eventually led to the creation of Dr. Guo’s 37 Healing Salve — and once my own patients started experiencing the results, they were soon asking for a jar of their own.
The 37 name and formulation:
The group of combined Chinese and western natural herbs were selected for their collective effectiveness on pain, inflammation, and healing. In addition to the herbs, a collection of therapeutic-grade essential oils are added to enhance the potency and aroma of the final products. One of the master herbs used in the product is Panax (cure-it-all) Notoginseng. The Chinese refer to it as three-seven root because the plant has three petioles with seven leaflets each. It is a well-known herb for its ability to treat traumatic injuries and bleeding disorders.
